"Kucina: Singapore's First Halal Italian Fine Dining Experience"
Kucina Italian Restaurant is Singapore's first-ever MUIS-halal certified Italian fine dining restaurant, a passion project for Architect and Entrepreneur Alessandro Lo Giudice. Recognizing the multicultural nature of Singapore, Alessandro conceived the idea of introducing the country’s first Italian halal restaurant. His vision was to create a space where people from all walks of life—regardless of religion, creed, or race—could gather at one table to enjoy the experience of authentic Italian cuisine. In 2016, when Alessandro learned that Chef Gero, a British-Italian Muslim revert, was seeking new opportunities in the F&B sector, he immediately reached out, recognizing the perfect fit for his vision. Combining Chef Gero’s Italian culinary expertise and Muslim background with Alessandro’s Italian-halal vision, they launched Kucina.
The design of Kucina reflects both authenticity and Italian refinement, with soothing mint green tones complemented by bold orange furnishings that add a vibrant pop of color. The open-concept kitchen invites diners to experience the excitement of live cooking, making every meal an engaging, immersive experience.
